Glaze has finally opened their second outpost in Union Square! Their first location in Midtown East is only a couple blocks away from Piggy KL's humble abode and I was definitely jealous. Well you know what? Now I get my very own Glaze just a couple blocks away from my apartment too! YAY!

Glaze Union Square now open! |
The look, feel, and menu of this location is the exact same as their Midtown East location. Glaze's specialty is the teriyaki plate and they streamline your decision making with a three-step process: you choose a protein (chicken, steak, salmon, tofu, veggie, or pork loin available), white or brown rice, and a dressing for your salad.

Simple and open space |
On this particular evening, I couldn't decide between the salmon and chicken so I got both! I love their combos - they always fit exactly what I'm looking for. Combo 1 gives you a double choice of teriyaki (so salmon and chicken for me!) for just $10 and combo 2 offers you one teriyaki and one side order of your choice (love the cucumber salad!) for an extra $2 to your teriyaki choice.

Combo 1 w/Chicken and Salmon on brown rice |
My teriyaki plate was so simple, delicious, and filling. Both the chicken and salmon tasted really fresh and I love that you can get a meal made from quality ingredients for $10 and under. I'm pretty sure Glaze Union Square will soon turn into one of my regular "go-to" spots. Welcome to Union Square, Glaze - my belly thanks you!
