The House

This place serves the best Truffled Mac and Cheese - hands down.

What used to be a carriage house in its previous life, The House has been beautifully restored and now serves as a great spot for a wonderful meal!  The main floor features a little bar area with a fireplace and big windows - you feel like you are dining in someone's (super elegant) dining room.

There's a decent wine list and nice assortment of options for feasting.  Here's a peak at the menu:



During my last trip here, we started with the Ricotta Toast (topped with a sort of english pea puree).   This was the perfect started for a hot summer day - nice thick and crispy toast topped with cool ricotta and a refreshing pea puree.  Nice and simple and very enjoyable!

And for the entree, the must haves for me (and my dining buddy!) are a nice big glass of cool Lambrusco and the Truffled Mac & Cheese.  It comes in this big bowl - be careful the bowl is hot!  I love it when my mac & cheese is baked.  The top of this mac & cheese is nice and crispy with the perfect amount of bread crumbs, and there are pieces of shaved truffle right on top.  Excellent excellent excellent!

I definitely recommend you stop by and give the Truffled Mac & Cheese a try!  And pair it with a great glass of their Lambrusco - you wont regret it.
