BluePrintCleanse

Sometimes, this little Piggy needs a cleanse!  All this rich eating lately has increased my appetite and I need a little help resetting...BluePrintCleanse to the rescue!

Apparantly, having the ability to not only finish your meal but also those of your dining companions is not a ladylike feature.  And so, I've been juicing since Monday and today is day 4 for me!  Although I am not a newbie to juicing (this is my 3rd go with BluePrintCleanse and 4th cleanse overall!), I never seem to feel any more prepared than I was for my first cleanse.

For those of you unfamiliar with juice cleanses and BluePrintCleanse, you basically drink six fresh veggie and fruit juices per day.  No food!  These are not the juices you get at the grocery store or the shakes from jamba juice - these are fresh pressed juices with  nothing but what they get out of the fruit and/or veggies.  No preservatives, no sugars (well, maybe some agave), no artificial flavoring.

With BluePrintCleanse, you select from three cleanse levels (I went with level 2 - Foundation) and BluePrintCleanse does the rest!

The day before you begin your cleanse, BluePrintCleanse will deliver up to three days worth of drinks to you (as drinks are not pasteurized nor preserved, they only have a shelf-life of up to three days!).  Each delivery comes with:

A cooler lunchbox and some ice-packs to bring your drinks around in-

Information card detailing the drinks and "how to" basics-

And six drinks per day, numbered one through six so there is no confusion as to which to drink first!

Level 2 - Foundation comes with four different drinks:
1. Green Juice (romaine, celery, cucumber, apple, spinach, kale, parsley, lemon): Not as bad as you think!  Mostly tastes like apple juice with a slight hint of veggie.  Surprisingly refreshing!  But I will admit, by day 2 you are a bit sick of drinking three of these a day...
2. Spicy Lemonade (lemon, water, agave, cayenne): Tasty lemonade with a cayenne kick!  As drink #4 for me, its the perfect afternoon pick-me-up for when my sugar levels start to slip.
3. P.A.M. (pineapple, apple, mint): Tastes like minty pineapple!
4. Cashew Nut Milk (cashew, water, vanilla, cinammon, agave): MY FAVORITE.  At first, I didn't like this, but the more I drank it the more I loved it!  It's made from cashews so the protein is filling and leaves you feeling nourished and satisfied.  No hungry bellies before bedtime for me!

Usually day 1 and day 2 of the cleanses are the most difficult for me.  Day 1, I battled slight hunger as my body adjusted to just juices.  A bit dizziness here and there if I didn't drink every 2.5 hours!  By the end of the day, I am pooped and ready for bed by 5pm ha...

On Day 2, the hunger eased, but the cravings kicked in!  All the juices kept me full (and running to the bathroom), but I found my sense of smell heightened in the office.  All the lunch time smells wafting into my cube just led to a lot of day dreaming...

On Day 3, I felt wonderful!  Light, no bloating, and full of energy!  The cravings for the foods I miss most (rice! cheese! snacks!) were still there, but their pull was less enticing.  I was just enjoying how great my body felt!

On Day 4, so far so good!  I'm skipping through the halls at work and my body feels light, lithe, and vivacious.  Extra bonus, I'm down nearly six pounds and the feeling is inspirational.  I'm vowing to myself to continue the healthy eating - I hope I can keep it up for a couple weeks at least!

While I love the cleanse and the feeling it gives me by day 3, this is definitely not for everyone.  Last time, Piggy KL, her hubby, and my bf all did it with me and I'm pretty sure I was the only one enjoying it.  The  boys were so hungry that Piggy KL's hubby just started gnawing on her elbow!!  But, if you are up for the challenge, I think the reward is worth giving BluePrintCleanse a try.

Piggy says Yes!
